Client: Aura Smart Air – an all-in-one indoor air purification & quality intelligence system.

My task was to create a more efficient way for the customer support team to access dynamic user data from our existing API's in real time.
"The team needs a better way to keep track of our users & their devices, with all of the important information in one place." – Donna, the Customer Support lead.
I started by reviewing the supplied Figma wireframes above & got to work on building the platform using HTML, CSS, TypeScript, Angular, Particle API & Shopify API.
My role was to build the support platform, alongside the project manager & lead engineer. Although my main task was to develop the product, I couldn't help but push the original design. So as I coded, I reimagined the user interface on the fly in order to enhance the overall look & feel of the product because I believe in the value of beauty & functionality.
The first challenge was to create a way for the user to search our data base for devices with unique identification numbers. As you can see above, the user is able to search for a unique ID & then see the location of the device, along with whether or not the device is active (determined by the green or red dot next to the device name).

Next, I implemented a drop-down scrolling solution so that the user could more easily locate the device by the email provided by the customer. This search functionality connected directly to our Shopify API, where all of the user data was pulled from to be displayed.
Lastly, the team needed to create an animated tutorial to help users understand how to connect to their new devices. We didn't have the time to outsource the task so I took the innitiative & created a GIF animation in photoshop to act as the MVP in the meantime.
